am I lost??

So Lost is on tonight at 8:00 which is very exciting. Andrea cooerced me into watching it once, starting at about episode 12 and I was HOOKED. So I spent an entire evening one night reading detailed episode guides for every previous episode so that I now know exactly what's going on [note: there's no need for you to tell me that I have too much time on my hands. I already know.] I don't know what it is about the show that is so compelling. Maybe it's that the guy who plays Merry in the Lord of the Rings movies, who I love so much, is a key character. So is Matthew Fox from Party of Five and that guy who did such a great job playing Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet ["A plague on both your houses!] Regardless of why, I have found myself in love with YET ANOTHER T.V. show.

But herein lies the problem. A mere two weeks after I became hooked, the stupid people from ABC started to do something horrible....RUNNING RERUNS. Now it's not as if I don't want to go back and see the episodes I missed before, because I do. But I can do that when the episodes come out on DVD or when the season is over for the year. I just hate when networks play with your mind by leaving you with a cliffhanger and then stopping the show for weeks at a time....it messes with our emotions, dammit! Honestly, they did it with the O.C. last year after Marissa overdosed in Tiajuana and I was a wreck. Well maybe not a wreck, but I was DEFINATELY a little sad. They need to stop this. It completely ruins the momentum that builds with each episode.

So I'm left thinking I'll take a stand tonight and NOT watch their stupid re-runs. THEN they might get the message that no one wants to watch them.
